HONDA HEAD 2 HEAD
RPA & Honda approached Loaded to refresh & develop new branding/broadcast assets for their upcoming premiere gaming tournament, Head2Head, that would pit some of the biggest streamers against eachother across the most popular games on the market - and serve as the primary digital launch venue to unveil the brand new Civic SE.
Using RPA's broadcast spot as a foundation for visual development, I was responsible for overall art direction & designing the tournament's primary branding.
Special thanks to Manuel Martin, Beyond The Summit & the Loaded creative team for their motion/production chops.

STYLE FRAMES
Drawing on floating fractal glass used in RPA's main spot for the new Honda Civic, I designed broadcast style frames in C4D/Octane/Photoshop/After Effects to match the vibrant colors, tone and reflective nature that could be captured and used for lower-thirds, transitions, bumpers and more.
RED VS. BLUE EXPLORATION
Alternatively, I explored a cleaner typography-based approach that used opposing colors of red + blue to denote the competitive nature of the tournament. I also incorporated different designs for the main event branding.
ALTERNATE VERSION
We started to hone in on the clean, modern aesthetic here, and wanted to try different color options for maximum contrast, legibility and vibrancy.
RED, WHITE AND BLUE
A final exploration focused on themes of deep red and navy blue, contrasted with a slate white and slightly different typography to convey speed and racing.
FINAL BROADCAST VISUALS
The final broadcast visuals ended up honing in my original fractal glass treatement with a slightly different color palette. Motion + 3D wizards Ryan Johnson and Manuel Martin took the original styleframes and 3D models and animated them beautifully.
