ARCANE
To capture the spirit and essence of Piltover & Zaun for Riot x Netflix's smash-hit series 'Arcane', we worked hand-in-glove with Riot's internal teams and helped develop a cohesive and detailed UI system for the PC launcher experience & social campaign.
Alongside a robust team at Thinkingbox and Riot Global Publishing, I directed & co-designed core elements of the UI system that were used across the entire ecosystem of Riot products/campaigns.
REFERENCE + INSPIRATION
Drawing on the beautiful concept art, we sought to capture the core materials, colors, and themes of each environment - grungy, wet, murky and organic for Zaun and polished, geometric and Hextech for Piltover.
THEMATIC UI DESIGN
Working with Riot's art directors, myself and designer Tony Yu designed immersive, thematic UI for the Arcane-themed hub experience.

EXPERIENCE
Co-director Kal Nguyen and team worked heavily on developing an interactive version of Piltover's Council Archives - scrollable and explorable right from within the Riot Games launcher, based on some of the UI we designed for the main marketing experience.
SOCIAL ASSETS
Building on the beautiful UI + brand system work, we helped Riot develop a suite of social assets to use across all their owned properties to build a robust, unique campaign for one of the year's biggest shows.
